What to Expect as a Trial Participant

  • If you qualify for participation, you will receive either the study drug or placebo, which is an active drug that looks like the study drug but contains no active ingredients.
  • There is a 40 week extension phase of the study where eligible participants can receive study drug.
  • The study lasts approximately 56 weeks.
  • You will attend in-person visits and remote visits throughout your participation.
  • Taking part is completely voluntary and you may discontinue participation at any time.

You may be eligible if you are:

  • Aged 18 to 74 years old
  • Experiencing depression
  • Willing to use a highly effective method of birth control throughout participation
  • Willing to stop all medications affecting mood
