What Is Medication Management?

Medication management is the careful, ongoing supervision of psychiatric medications by licensed medical providers to ensure you're receiving the right treatment at the right dose for your unique needs.

At PSI, your story informs your treatment plan. It's part of an integrated, human-first approach that may include psychotherapy, psychedelic-assisted care (when appropriate), and a focus on sustainable, long-term well-being. Our team works closely with you to monitor effects, adjust medications as needed, and make informed decisions together.

Who May Benefit from Medication Management?

This service is designed for adults (18+) who are experiencing mental health symptoms that may benefit from pharmaceutical support — either as a standalone approach or in combination with  therapy or psychedelic-assisted treatment.

You may benefit if you’re:

  • Exploring new treatment options after past medications haven’t worked
  • Feeling emotionally stuck, anxious, or overwhelmed
  • Managing symptoms of conditions like depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, or mood disorders
  • Preparing for or integrating psychedelic-assisted therapy
  • Looking for expert, ethical oversight of your medication plan

If you're uncertain about your current treatment or wondering if medication might help, we’re here to guide you.

What to Expect

Initial Evaluation

Every new patient begins with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation. We’ll review your full health history, current medications, mood patterns, lifestyle, and goals. This helps us understand your experience and determine whether starting medication or adjusting your current medications may be helpful.

Personalized Plan

There’s no one-size-fits-all formula here. Your prescriber will make recommendations based on your individual needs and goals and follow up to see how your plan is working.  The potential benefits, risks, and alternatives are always clearly explained without pressure and time is allotted in each appointment to answer any questions you have, so you can make fully informed decisions.

Ongoing Care

Medication management isn’t a one-time appointment. We offer ongoing check-ins to monitor how you’re feeling, discuss any side effects, and adapt as your needs evolve. These sessions can be in person or via telehealth, depending on what’s appropriate and comfortable for you.

You’re in control. You can pause, ask questions, or change course at any time. This is collaborative care grounded in consent, science, and respect.

Our Unique Approach & Commitment to Care

Integrated & Holistic

We view medication as one tool in a larger therapeutic landscape. Many patients combine medication management with talk therapy or, when appropriate, psychedelic-assisted therapy. Our clinicians are trained to recognize how medications may interact with or complement other treatments, ensuring a cohesive, safe, and effective care plan.

Clinical Trials & Future Innovations

While traditional psychiatric medications are widely available, PSI is also conducting research on next-generation treatments, including psychedelic-based therapies. If interested, we can explore whether you're eligible for one of our clinical trials, which is a way to access new investigational treatments under the care of experienced, licensed clinicians.
