Chief Operating Officer at PSI/TRIP Clinics

Brooke Balliett, LMFT, is a psychotherapist, researcher and health care executive focused on the emerging field of psychedelic medicine. She co-founded the California Center for Psychedelic Therapy in Hollywood CA in 2018 and is a founding partner of the PSI team. As Chief Operating Officer, Brooke draws on the full arc of her career to steward PSI’s mission to deliver safe, effective psychedelic care, train the next generation of health care providers, and build new systems of mental healthcare that help individuals and communities truly thrive.

About Brooke Balliett

  • Brooke is an accomplished clinical researcher, being an investigator, mentor and trainer on multiple psychedelic-assisted therapy clinical trials over the last 9 years.
  • She has over 25,000 hours of clinical experience and nearly two decades of leadership in clinical and research psychology. Her specialization in developmental and relational psychotherapy provides a foundation for training and mentoring other providers as well as creating accessible and innovative systems of care. 
  • She has led the development and implementation of cutting-edge mental health systems in hospitals, nonprofit programs, and private clinics- building critical bridges between emerging science and real-world care. Her operational leadership spans clinical strategy, team development and management, information architecture, and scalability, all grounded in ethical, accessible programming.

Background & Education

  • Brooke received her bachelor’s degree in developmental psychology from Mills College in Oakland CA, her master’s degree in counseling psychology from Southwestern College in Santa Fe, NM and is a PsyD candidate at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles.  Brooke is a student of the world and honored to say she has worked in service of psychedelic wellness on four continents and counting. 
  • Brooke is a student of human consciousness and adheres to the concept of right livelihood- using her career to better the experience of all life on earth...and beyond. Coming from this perspective, Brooke co-founded the California Center for Psychedelic Therapy in 2018, which grew into the Psychedelic Science Institute and its TRIP Clinics in 2025.
