Meet Ashley Ramos:

Senior Clinical Research Coordinator

Ashley serves as the Senior Clinical Research Coordinator at our Santa Monica clinic. She joins PSI following her work at the Pacific Treatment and Research in Psychedelics (TRIP) Center at the Pacific Neuroscience Institute, where she contributed to clinical trials exploring the use of psychedelics as treatments for alcohol use disorder, anxiety, depression, and postpartum depression. She also has a background in neurobiological research surrounding various indications such as anxiety.

About Ashley

  • Ashley has been serving as a clinical research coordinator on psychedelic clinical research trials for over two years. During her time at PNI, she also offered support on treatment trials for indications including thyroid eye disease and Alzheimer’s disease. 
  • She is dedicated to fostering a safe, compassionate environment where patients feel supported and respected throughout their participation in clinical research. With a strong focus on ethical standards, regulatory compliance, and attention to detail, she ensures that each trial is conducted with integrity. Above all, she prioritizes patient safety and well-being, recognizing their vital role in advancing medical knowledge.

Background & Education

Ashley earned her B.S. in Animal Biology from the University of California, Davis. While working at the university's Behavioral Neuroendocrinology Lab, she contributed to research and authored a practicum examining the effects of serotonin and its receptors on anxiety and related symptoms.

Ashley’s Areas of Specialization

  • Ashley served as a research coordinator on phase II and phase III trials exploring psychedelic treatment options for treatment resistant depression, postpartum depression, and generalized anxiety disorder.
  • She is currently working as a senior coordinator on trials dealing with major depressive disorder, treatment resistant depression, and generalized anxiety disorder.
  • Alongside her primary responsibilities as a study coordinator, she also takes on the role of assistant dosing session monitor, providing critical support during research sessions to ensure participant safety and adherence to study protocols.
